PSF’s “Between Carbon and Silicon” Debuts at the National Taichung Theater: AI Compute Center Drives Artistic Innovation
AI is not only taking jobs and upending industries — it is now crossing into art. With AI-generated works entering the National Taichung Theater, humans are no longer the only creators in the exhibition hall.
The art exhibition “Between Carbon and Silicon,” curated by PENG SI FU INDUSTRIAL Co., Ltd. (PSF), recently opened in the Youran Hall of the National Taichung Theater. Centered on generative AI, the exhibition blends cross-disciplinary co-creation with live experiences, drawing more than 3,000 visitors and generating enthusiastic response.
Cross-Disciplinary Co-Creation and a Dialogue of Civilizations: The Exhibition’s Two Core Highlights
The exhibition features an “AI Co-Creation Art Project,” exploring the meeting point of human life (carbon) and artificial intelligence (silicon) through two series. “Love Letters to the Future” invited leading figures from industry, government and academia to hold a dialogue with AI, including Ge Shuren, Chairman of China Petrochemical Development Corporation, Professor Wang Kaili of Tunghai University, and Honorary Vice Chairman of UMC Stan Hung, who personally wrote a line addressed to the future, which AI then turned into a bespoke artwork presenting a profound vision where technology and thought intertwine. “Strangers in a Former Land,” hosted by Cai Yiqian, custodian of Mu Jin Tang, displays important civilizational collections, paying tribute to human civilization through historical heritage and leading viewers to reflect on the connections between traditional civilization and the new age of artificial intelligence.
The exhibition also includes a dedicated AI art-creation experience: visitors simply type in text to generate visual works instantly, experiencing first-hand the new artistic possibilities of “human intention co-creating with AI technology.”
PSF Builds an AI Compute Ecosystem to Empower Diverse Enterprise Applications
Beyond its breakthroughs in culture and the arts, PSF has in recent years been actively building AI computing centers and enterprise-grade AI applications, continuously deploying high-performance GPU compute resources and working to close the last mile between AI infrastructure and real-world industrial application.
Chun-yu Yang, Chairman of PSF and curator of this exhibition, said that competition in the AI industry has moved from pure model capability toward deep integration of compute, data, application scenarios and industry ecosystems. “Between Carbon and Silicon” is not only an art exhibition but an important cultural practice in PSF’s drive to bring AI into real-world use. “We hope to use art to build a public dialogue between technology and the humanities, so that artificial intelligence is not only a productivity tool but an important force for industrial innovation and reflection on civilization.”
